Book Updates At the conference I kept referring people to my book page for information, only to realise today that it hasn't been updated in over a year! So, slowly but surely I'm making my way to making additions to the book pageand adding reviews. But since I keep getting asked what are my top-rated books, I'd offer the following: I personally do not like the Artist Way series - I think they can be dangerous in making one feel like a failure because if you're like me, structure isn't something that comes easily or something I even want to do (I don't). I've seen a lot of artists in different mediums try it and not been able to get through it. Type A's, however, might really love this. I also don't care for a lot of self-help books that are aimed to make you just feel good about not being great. If you want to stay where you are, get these books or save money and don't buy any. You want to read to make something happen, right? And there's books on money which aren't geared towards creative people but they're really useful and I think a must on anyone's shelves. After all, after all the hard work you're going to put in trying to cultivate money, you'll want to know what to do with it when you get it. So choose your books wisely and don't buy them all or take everyone's advice (including mine). Take suggestions and ideas then make them your own.
